Supermodel, Work!

Haeden's 15 minutes of fame are still going strong, and I could not be more proud of my little "celebrity"!Yesterday I ran across this post while checking out Apartment Therapy's blog:

And today my good friend Amy texted me a screenshot of Shutterfly's front page:

A Blogiversary & A 22 Month-Old Monster Child

Happy Anniversary to me! Today is my one-year blogiversary. I would never have realized it if I hadn’t recently gone back and added tags to all of my posts. In fact, if you had asked me two weeks ago when I first started blogging, I probably would have told you last June or July. That’s a little sad. My memory sure isn’t what it used to be. I blame motherhood. Just go with it.

In other news, Haeden turns 22 months-old today. I’m a little depressed about the fact that he’ll be two in just two short months. Especially since the “terrible” part has already started to peek through his usually sunny disposition. Yes, the past few days he has been testing us like the dickens and so far it ‘s like Haeden: 342, Mommy/Daddy: 6. We had a particularly fun (please note the sarcasm here) evening the other night that included high-pitched yelling, plate-pushing, hair pulling, slapping and sippy cup throwing. It ended with me having to get up and carry him out of a restaurant. His behavior didn’t get any better when I buckled him into the car seat kicking and screaming, but at least he wasn’t interrupting anyone else’s dinner at that point.

I know this is why they’re so unbelievably cute at this age. And the hugs and kisses don’t hurt either. Otherwise, I don’t think many kids would make it past toddlerhood, right?! Oy!

What’s new:

- Climbing the bunk bed in his brothers’ room. He can climb the ladder and get onto the top bunk without any help (though we do stand behind him to make sure he doesn’t fall because HOLY CRAP it makes me nervous!)

- Singing along to American Idol. For some reason he thinks it is also necessary to stand in the chair closest to the TV while doing it, too.

- Calls fish “shoos” even though he can actually repeat fish back and knows what both words really mean.

- Working on colors and shapes. He can point out blue, circle, oval, and octagon on a pretty regular basis.

- Forget buttball, all balls are now “acketball”. He is obsessed with basketball because they have it at daycare. We have a hoop outside and he looooves to be picked up so that he can put the acketball into the basket.

- Likes to give the fishies, or “shoos”, goodnight kisses by kissing the tank. And always tells them “buh-bye” when we leave.

- Totally has a Southern accent. Cracks me up!

- Starting to transition to a closed-mouth kiss. Right now he just tends to look toothless…

- Just a few days away from climbing OVER the baby gates. Lord help us!

Project 365: Week 6

Sunday, February 6th
Just practicing his guitar...

Monday, February 7th
Homemade pizza. YUM!
Tuesday, February 8th
Saw Hubby's friend's band open for another band. It was their first time performing in public and they were great, especially considering it wasn't even my type of music. Live music is always a good time to me though.

Wednesday, February 9th
Our family pet. Every Florida household needs one!

Thursday, February 10th
Enjoying his shape sorter... just not in the educational way. Ahhh, boys will be boys, right?

Friday, Feburary 11th
Mattress shopping. It was not unlike a candy store for him!

Saturday, February 12th

We were stuck at the house most of the day waiting for the mattress to arrive. Of course it was waaay later than expected. It was a gorgeous day though so we kept busy both indoors and outdoors with lots of play!
