Weekend Review & Photo Dump

These African carvings are on a table in the living room. Keeping H's hands off of them has proved to be a bit difficult at times. Go figure?! While he didn't pick them up this trip, he did proudly point out to everyone that the ones with boobs were Mommies. "That's a Mommy and that's a Mommy and THAT'S a Mommy, too!"

This is where he tells me that he is stuck and needs help up. Minutes before I went down head first and told him to help me up. He tried to help in his own way... by grabbing my head and then my pony tail to try and pull me up. Thanks, kid!

Embrace the Camera: October 19th

First off, I can't believe we're already nearing the end of October. Where does the time go? As you can see from the photos below, the weather has been quite warm. We had a weekend a while back that was gorgeous, but it didn't last long. Then this morning we woke up to 40 degree temps and I got to pull out all of my sweaters. I love the fall. I hope it stays awhile!

We're embracing the camera again this week. If you haven't yet, you ought to join!

Lovins.

Looking forward to soccer next year!

Look at the arm on that kid!

He's getting one of those bouncy balls you sit on for Christmas. Obviously he will love it!

 Hipster Toddler

And one that will embarrass the hell out of him several years down the road. hehehe

* P.S. I have been trying to comment on a lot of other ETC peeps' pages, but Blogger sometimes tells me I'm not allowed. Then I look to see if I can email some of you and a lot don't have that information listed... I don't know what the issue is, but clearly I'm technologically challenged in this area. If anyone has an answer, please drop me a line! Thanks!

Embrace the Camera: October 13th

I have quite the little bedtime routine going with Haeden. It used to be that I'd read him one book and put him to bed. Then I started to sing a song, too. One song quickly became three which turned into two Itsy Bitsy Spiders, one Hush Little Baby, one You Are My Sunshine, one Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and two books. Not one book. One won't do. One anything won't do, actually. He's always negotiating for two.  It might irritate me if it wasn't so damn cute.

These are the two that we've been reading the past couple of weeks. The Tooth Book is probably his favorite. He points to all of the animals without teeth and says, "Not him!" and then points to the people/animals with teeth and exclaims, "HIM!"

Haeden and his Buddy Bear. That thing has seen better days. He loves it and it's usually in his mouth. It totally stinks and if it gets within a few inches of your face? Well, you're probably gonna break out.

Haeden took these last two. I'm thinking Santa needs to bring him a kiddie camera for Christmas.  My little budding photographer!
